The HULK SHRUG Technique

Current research overwhelmingly supports that the only way to reduce concussions and sub-concussive impacts is to “stabilize the head from moving during impact.”  Research from as far back as 1987 stated “the athlete should be taught to contract the large muscles of the neck for proper tackling and blocking.”

The Hulk Shrug Technique utilizes a shoulder shrugging motion which allows the neck’s stronger extension muscles to stabilize the neck in a closed pocket more stable position at the moment of impact.

Football coaches would furthermore agree that at the line of scrimmage “A Great Safe Powerful Strike Solves a Lot of Problems.”
